Director, Prevention Treatment Care Services Functions/Responsibilities: The Director will perform his role by providing technical and managerial support to the stakeholders and partners through coordination and support. The Director reports to the SOLNAC Secretariat Executive Director and is responsible for performing the following functions:
- Capacity needs assessment/ mapping current services and practices available in the country.
The assessment / mapping will focus on: Existing facilities (hospitals, laboratory services, private services points etc.), and human capacity available in the following skills: Laboratory, diagnostic, treatment, dispensing, counselling and information management.
- Procurement of drugs, STIs diagnostic kits, VCT kits and other logistics It is envisaged that procurement of drugs and other logistics under this programme will be integrated in existing procurement arrangements in Somaliland. Procurement and supplies will therefore be guided by the existing arrangements. - Upgrade health facilities to provide integrated services including care for opportunistic infections and STIs Capacity assessment of health facilities and ensure adequate technical and managerial supports are available with them to implement treatment and care services.
